An impressively designed 3-storey triangular building with glass roofed atrium.

Located on the Western Hospital Campus in Millbrook Southampton, Adelaide Health Centre is a development with 4,433 sq m of floor space housing GPs and other practitioner services. The centre offers local residents a truly 21st century health centre.

This was the first building project delivered by South West Hampshire LIFT and handed over to NHS Southampton City in October 2009.

It was designed, developed and built to serve the local Millbrook community. It will provide these services which are arranged around the atrium in an area which has café and waiting area:

  • GP Services

  • GPs with special interests

  • Podiatry

  • Leg ulcer clinics

  • Physiotherapy

  • Community Neurological rehabilitation team

  • Health Visitors

  • Musculoskeletal clinics

  • Treatment for long term conditions

These services are arranged around the atrium, which houses a café and waiting area. The Primary Care Delivery Centre was designed by Greenhill Jenner Architects, the interiors were designed by Architecture PLB and the construction was by Geoffrey Osborne Ltd, SWHEP’s main contractor.
